The Think Metaphorically Team
Momentum is a new curriculum that will challenge, grow, and elevate your Children's Ministry to a whole new level. This curriculum was was originally written for church in the heart of Tennessee, but when the need for exciting, experiential curriculum arose outside of that area, Think Metaphorically was created. Momentum is designed to engage and inspire the older kids in your Children's Ministry to be the people that God has designed them to be.
The Goal of this curriculum is to make God real and personal to each and every student. After time with this curriculum, they will have a deeper understanding and deeper revelation of Father God.
Story journeys are an exciting, interactive, and engaging way that the Momentum curriculum teaches biblical stories and scripture. Each and every unit of this curriculum has a Story Journey that goes with it. Students will learn whole passages of scripture by using fun hand motions, unique voices, and interaction with each other. Story Journeys help greatly in the memorization of scripture; whether you are learning one verse or 10, Story Journeys are extremely helpful and beneficial when teaching kids scripture!

The Momentum curriculum uses experiential games as a way of increasing understanding of the lesson. These experiential games can range from activities like tag, to games that cause you to use your brain and think! The point of these experiential games is to provide an outlet for students to move and interact with each other and with their shepherds. Every activity has a "debrief" time where shepherds will discuss how the game they played relates back to the theme of the lesson. These games are crucial to the Momentum curriculum and provide an extremely fun way to learn!
More info on our games is available here.
Worship is a main component of the Momentum curriculum. Each lesson has a worship section in which we give you ideas to create an experiential worship environment for your students. What is an experiential worship environment exactly? An experiential worship environment is a place where, in addition to your normal music time, we will provide an activity your students can do that goes along with the lesson you are on. Each experiential worship idea is tailor made for the unit you are studying. We also provide song suggestions based on the unit you are on. In our worship page we have provided a list of our experiential worship ideas that you can implement easily during your Children's Ministry time.
